Benefits of Joining

FilmOntario enables the Screen-based (film, television and interactive media) sector to successfully speak with a strong, focused voice on key competitiveness issues.

in order to accomplish this, we focus on marketing and policy.

And it works.

We are #1 in Canada, and #3 in North America, after LA and NY.

In 2011, we achieved the highest volume of domestic and service production in Ontario's history, despite a dollar at par.

Together with the OMDC and the City of Toronto, we co-fund and co-manage a fulltime development office in LA, and various marketing events throughout the year.

Provincially, we concentrate on the political and senior bureaucratic folks at Ministries such as Finance, Economic Development and Innovation, and Culture, as well as opposition critics. Our work has resulted in strengthened relationships with all political parties at Queens Park.

FilmOntario has proven the concept that with a focused, educated industry voice, governments will listen, and include us in the process in a much more meaningful way.
