The 51st edition of the Toronto International Film Festival is taking place from September 10-20, 2026. An impressive lineup of 15 productions with Ontario connections showcases the strength of the province’s film industry, both on the screen and behind the scenes.

Annie Murphy (Schitt’s Creek) stars in this effervescent, tender-hearted, refreshingly modern rom-com that chronicles a casual encounter between a millennial and a Gen Zer — and the life-altering consequences that result.

Something monstrous lurks off the coast in this suspenseful, Newfoundland-set limited series, starring Josh Hartnett (Trap) and Mackenzie Davis (Station Eleven).

In the Heart of the South is what Single White Female would be if it were set in Toronto, with an Inuk protagonist and a dash of supernatural elements, starring North of North‘s Anna Lambe.

From the acclaimed studio behind Wolfwalkers and Song of the Sea comes a joyful adaptation of Jessica Love’s beloved children’s book about a young boy whose dream of becoming a mermaid transforms both his summer and his relationship with his grandmother.

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson team up with four revered drummers — Stewart Copeland, Danny Carey, Chad Smith, and Gavin Harrison — for an exhilarating and poignant tribute to late Rush legend Neil Peart.
