Celebrating Ontario at #TIFF22!

September 8, 2022

We would like to congratulate the Toronto International Film Festival on returning to a full, in-person festival this year.

Over the next 11 days, 20 productions that benefitted from Ontario’s on- and off-screen talent will screen at the Festival for Toronto and international audiences. This really is Ontario’s opportunity to shine!

The first day at TIFF includes screenings of White Pine Pictures’ Buffy Sainte-Marie: Carry It On and the first two episodes of the long-awaited season 5 of shot-in-Ontario The Handmaid’s Tale. Also not to be missed are galas of Alice, Darling from Babe Nation Creations and Black Ice from First Take Entertainment, as well as Special Presentation Brother from Conquering Lion Pictures.

TIFF brings more than 700,000 visitors to Toronto and accounts for more than $114 million in economic activity in the region. This is on top of the $2.88 billion in production activity that film and television generates in Ontario.

Follow our Twitter account for daily updates about all the Ontario screenings and other TIFF activities. And congratulations to everyone who has worked so hard to bring these productions to the screen!
