Our 2024 Annual General Meeting, held on May 22^nd at the legendary El Mocambo, was a huge success.

Thank you to all the members who attended, as well as to the Honourable Neil Lumsden, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, for joining us.

In addition to celebrating our 20^th birthday, we got some important work done, including ratifying our new By-laws and welcoming new Director Mark Bishop of Blue Ant Media.

Special thanks to outgoing Directors Hilary Goldstein and Jennifer Jonas; in addition to serving on the Board for many years, Jennifer has ably led the Board as co-chair since 2014. Since that time, the industry has almost doubled in size, and we have survived our fair share of challenges. Both Jennifer and Hilary will be greatly missed.

Congratulations to Vanessa Steinmetz, who has been unanimously elected by her fellow private sector Directors to the role of co-chair.

Following the conclusion of our corporate business, Minister Lumsden joined the meeting to deliver remarks and participate in a Q&A with members. He re-affirmed the government’s commitment to stable and effective tax credits, and pledged ongoing support to growing the sector.
