Thank you to everyone who attended FilmOntario’s meet and greet at Queen’s Park on Monday, March 2.
FilmOntario members had the opportunity to interact with MPPs from all parties and highlight the economic impact of the film and television industry in Ontario. Production in Ontario reached an all-time high of $2.16 billion in 2019, creating 44,540 jobs.
The Honourable Lisa MacLeod, Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries, spoke on behalf of the Government, and MPP Paul Miller, Critic for Sport and Tourism, gave remarks from the Opposition. Meetings with key MPPs and Ministers were also held during the day, and will continue to take place leading up to the Provincial Budget.
