FilmOntario is proud to be a partner of Ontario Green Screen, a new collaborative initiative from Ontario Creates between government, industry partners, unions, guilds, trade associations and companies that endeavours to make lasting change in the industry and to empower individuals, production companies and studios make sustainable choices.
The mission of Ontario Green Screen is to provide the tools necessary to empower the motion picture industry in Ontario to incorporate and scale up environmentally sustainable best practices that lead to the well-being of our environment. Its vision is to have a robust industry that thrives through its commitment to environmental stewardship, made possible by a non-political partnership of industry stakeholders and government partners across the province.
Ontario Green Screen will serve as a one-stop sustainable resource for the Canadian film, TV and content production sector and will provide Climate and Sustainable Production training, Carbon calculator training, on-set waste reduction practices, access to green vendors lists and scaling-up of food rescue initiatives province wide.
