FilmOntario appeared in front of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs on June 25. The Committee was holding hearings for a report on the impacts of COVID-19.
The FilmOntario presentation focussed on the support needed to bring the film and television industry back to work stronger than ever. We highlighted the need to make sure that Ontario producers are able to obtain insurance and asked the government to provide support for health and safety costs.
FilmOntario also made a written submission to the Committee. You can find a copy of the written submission here.
We will continue to work with all our government partners to ensure that Ontario remains a strong and competitive jurisdiction for film and television production.
