As part of our work with the Minister’s Film and Television Advisory Panel, FilmOntario has prepared the following report on studio infrastructure gaps and needs. While noting that studios in and around the City of Toronto are currently operating at capacity, FilmOntario provides three recommendations for the province in Ontario to invest in studio development and expansion: (1) maintain its commitment to stable tax credits; (2) assist studio owners in gaining access to capital; and (3) coordinate efforts with other levels of government to support studio-friendly policies and leverage cultural infrastructure funds where available.
